Three days passed since then.

Today was Saturday.

A day known to be part of the weekend.

My take on it had changed a little since entering Ryouran High, but it still felt weird to think of Saturday as being the weekend.

For a shut-in, every day was the weekend and every day was the weekday. There was no difference among them. So it was hard to wrap my head around it after living like that.

Since my online friends were working adults, you might think I’d be able to figure that out when they’re online. But when you’ve got your days and nights reversed, you can’t do that, either. Even working adults log on only after they get home, and people rarely discuss their job online, so I never really gave it much thought.

But today… Today is part of a wonderful weekend, which means no school! That’s how I’ve been feeling these days. Weekends are so good, if they were a substance, they’d be addictive.

“And there’s even a maid to take care of everything around me. Is this heaven?”

“Who are you calling a maid? I’ll knock you out!”

The female friend in the cotton gloves and mask, putting our household garbage into a garbage bag…in other words, Akiba, gave me a glare and a few choice words.

“Well, an angel, then. Choose the one you like best!”

“I don’t want to be called either! I’m not doing this for fun, you know!”

She heaved a sigh, looking annoyed.

“Gakuto, why don’t you clean before you invite someone over to your house?”

“Eh, it’s too much of a hassle.”

“Then don’t have visitors! How can you bear having someone else enter this…this pigsty?”

“Well, I have to invite people over. Today’s the day that Komae is going to deliver his song. We need to listen to it and have a strategy meeting to determine the best way to debut it.”

“Why are you saying ‘we’ like it’s a foregone conclusion that I’ll help?”

“Well, we’re friends. Working together to complete missions is what friends do, right?”

“Hmm, maybe in online games. But this is reality…”

“Don’t be so nitpicky. Ryouran High’s system is like a game, after all.”

“Hmm, you may have a… No, no, I disagree! Your reasoning is totally ridiculous!”

Akiba doesn’t know it, but Shiika was a pretty popular WayTube Vsinger. As Seeker’s manager, I listened to a lot of songs and gained a good grasp of what genres of music show off Shiika’s voice the best.

But the knowledge I’d gained from that didn’t necessarily apply to Impachi Live.

After entering the academy, I’d learned that through bitter experience.
